District 2021/22 Attendance Policies and Guidelines:
This year, we anticipate fewer quarantines, due to the population-based approach and masking. Students who are absent will follow the attendance policy, making up work when they return unless the teacher plans otherwise. (This applies even if the student is in isolation or a quarantine as determined by San Juan Basin Public Health). We will not conduct live teaching or Zooming into classrooms during absences as was done during quarantines in the 20-21 school year.

With the new school year, please review the current athletics and activities guidelines. The guidelines are reflective of the Colorado Public Health and Environment Toolkit and Center for Disease Control Guidance for athletics and activities.

We hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. We look forward to the new school year, which begins August 24. Here are updates regarding our COVID-related health protocols for the 2021-22 school year.

In response to community feedback, the district has updated details on options to rebuild Miller Middle School on site. Please review these options carefully and provide any additional feedback via the current survey, or by participating in the August 5th feedback session via zoom.

This year, Durango School District 9-R will provide breakfast and lunch to all students free of charge, regardless of the child’s free or reduced-price meal benefit status.

With less than a month before school begins, we wanted to remind families, both new and existing, to complete registration for their student(s) on InfiniteCampus.

As part of the 4A Bond, Miller Middle School will be replaced. We are seeking community input on the redesign.
