On March 31, the Durango Education Foundation presented 9-R with $250,000 for the Bridge the Gap Campaign.
“We wanted to give the school district extra funds to help those kids who are less fortunate and continue to support education in this community,” said Tom Geyer, Board President of Durango Education Foundation.

The March 29, 2022 9-R Board of Education Regular Meeting will begin at 5:00PM in the Board Room in the Administration Building, 201 E. 12th Street, Durango.

Keith Jim is attracting attention for "The Heroes," his graphic novel series telling the Navajo creation story. The important, traditional Navajo stories he grew up hearing were his identity when he was a youngster. He hopes to leave a new generation of children, Native and non-Native alike, with that same feeling through his work. The Durango School District and Cuningham Group Architects presented a community update on the Programming phase of the new Miller Middle School design.
