Miller Middle School Web Transition Program

Middle School students who consistently miss school have lower grades or fall a grade level behind, are statistically more likely to drop out of high school or, even worse, not make it to high school at all.

In other words, to help 6th graders succeed, we need to help them transition.

Durango 9-R Announces Two New School Leaders

Durango School District 9-R announces two new school leaders who will join the district for the 2017/18 school year. Vicki Trousdale, who is current assistant principal at Miller Middle School, will step into the role of principal; and Marie Voss-Patterson, also assistant principal but at Park Elementary, will also take on the role of principal.

Attention Parents: Recall on EpiPens Issued

Attention parents:
There has been an Epipen recall issued. All students with Epipens need to check their lot numbers to see if their pen was recalled. contact your school nurse to be sure your student's pen is not recalled. If you have a recalled pen please send in a new one ASAP.

New Student Tracking System for 9-R Buses

Durango School District 9-R is proud to announce the implementation of the Student Tracking System on our school buses. All students will be issued Student IDs this year that will work interactively with our bus tracking system, as well as other systems in the school, such as the library. Using the cards, students will scan when they get on and off the buses. This new safety feature allows the Transportation Department, our schools, parents, and guardians to follow bus schedules and routes, and whether or not their student is on the bus. With the Student Tracking System, the school district is able to increase its safety measures and identification processes for all students.
