Welcome to the 2025–26 School Year at Miller Middle School!

 

At Miller, we’re proud to be part of Durango School District, an innovative educational system committed to excellence. Our mission is to ensure every student has the skills, confidence, and opportunities to thrive—both in the classroom and beyond. We believe in creating a learning environment where students own their learning, act on their learning, and impact their community in meaningful ways. This includes personalized learning rooted in students’ strengths and needs, and a focus on essential skills like collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication.

This year, we are especially excited to begin the school year on a fully functioning campus, as we wrap up Phase 2 of our construction project. This has been a long time coming, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the community for supporting the Bond that made these improvements possible. Your patience, flexibility, and encouragement throughout the many twists and turns of the building process have meant the world to us—and the end result is a learning space that reflects the high expectations and vibrant energy of our school community.

We are also thrilled to be welcoming so many new and returning families to Miller this year! Whether you're joining us for the first time or continuing your journey with us, your presence proves what we already know—Miller is a great place to be! With a long and rich history in Durango, Miller has always been a cornerstone of connection, learning, and growth, and we are honored to carry that legacy forward with you.
