Mock crash provides real-world trauma training for Durango High School students

With support from local first responders, students stepped into real-world trauma response, practicing skills like CPR, intubation, and wound care.

The scene was intense — a totaled car, shattered glass, and actors playing injured students and a distraught parent rushing in. All of it timed just days before Prom, during lunch, so the message couldn’t be missed.

One choice can change everything.
