9-R Weekly COVID Response Summary - 2.26.21

The cohorting and quarantine process is effective in allowing early identification of a potential exposure with immediate response to ensure the safety of students and staff in the cohort and the school. PPE worn correctly by staff continues to play a critical role in reducing staff quarantines and supports a stable staffing level to keep schools open.

We are preparing for our second administration of the COVID-19 vaccine to participating staff, almost 600 individuals, next Saturday, March 6, 2021. This past week the 9-R Medical Director issued an informational video that speaks to the quarantine process, PPE and vaccinations in the community. Click HERE to review the video.

Notices of any quarantines in our schools is available on our website at durangoschools.org, as well as on the affected school’s website. Our COVID-19 Supports page, which is linked from every For Families section on all school sites, is a summary page of all responses and quarantines related to COVID-19. The current Return to In-Person Learning Matrix can be found HERE, as well as on the above referenced COVID-19 Supports page.

We remind families to continue to practice the three W’s, both inside and outside of school, which are: wash your hands, wear your mask, and watch your distance.
