9-R Facilities Master Plan Survey

We are presently planning for the district’s future so that we can ensure the continued success of our students. Many Durango 9-R schools were built more than 40 years ago and need to be repaired and upgraded. It’s time to make essential repairs and improvements so our schools can serve our community for decades to come.  Upgrades to our schools as well as possible renovations to our schools and/or new facilities will not only enhance school safety and operational efficiency, but also ensure that when our students graduate from district schools they are college and career-ready and prepared to meet the demands of today’s workforce.

With these goals in mind, our 9-R Board of Education is considering a school district improvement bond measure for the November 2020 ballot.   Attached is a PDF copy of the facilities master plan presentation from earlier this week.  Please take a moment to review these slides for a brief summary of our thoughts and ideas.   That said, exploring our local funding options is a community driven process, and we want to hear from you.  It is important for the district to receive input from all stakeholders so that the district’s vision and direction are supported by our taxpayers and community members.

Please complete the following survey to share your thoughts for the district’s future:

Note:  If you already completed a master planning worksheet at one of our community engagement sessions on December 11 or 12, you do not need to complete this survey as it asks the same questions as that worksheet.

Additional information about the district’s long range district improvement planning process can be found here.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
